See You In A Week

I will be leaving tomorrow for a week, so this will be my last post until my return.

Every year, a group of old school buddies get together to share some good times, and maybe raise a little hell. We pick a different state each year to meet, and this year we are going to Texas, the New Braunfels/Canyon Lake area, to go river tubing, or toobing as it is called there. I have enjoyed this many times with my bro, and love the Texas Hill Country. River tubing in itself, is a great way to relax, just drifting slowly with the currents, enjoying a brew or two, and enjoying nature. If it has rained alot, the river will be running fast, but all those rapids are alot of fun as well. The Guadalupe and Comal rivers are surprisely clean, and very clear. The area draws thousands of visitors, and many of those tubing and rafting are college students from the area universities. All those young ladies and us, ahhhhhh, can life get any better? New Braunfels is also home to the historic village of Gruene. It's a very cool place to hang out, and features the Gruene Music Hall. If you watched the movie 'Michael', this is the hall where Michael danced and enjoyed his pie. I am fortunate that there is a good blues band playing one night during our stay. We just miss the Jerry Jeff Walker performance, I would have loved to seen him, I love his music.

I had the coffee date, and it was enjoyable. It is not anything heavy right now, as we both have our own plans for the next few weeks, so things are on hold. If it's anything, it will still be around when we next see each other, right?

I have tried to visit Rhodent's blog, to see her DVD meme, but for some reason, am having a difficult time there. Rhodent, I loved your list, but couldn't see where to post. Thanks for doing it.

I stayed up way too late last night, and should be in bed right now, but had to post this first. Hopefully I will wake up early enough tomorrow to visit some blogs. I am gonna miss everyone, have a great week, and please misbehave!
