Happy Father's Day

If ever there was a great Dad, it would be mine. He took a small child and instilled (or intended to) the best qualities in me, and gave me the greatest gift of all, my sense of adventure. He made me confident that I could take on anything, as long as it wasn't outright foolhardy, and live to tell about it. He was the type of guy who spent time with those kids who either didn't have a dad, or didn't have a particularly great one, and make them feel good about themselves. It always made me feel so proud, maybe smug, to see other kids flock to him, and know that he was MY DAD! Here's to all the great Dad's out there, this is your day.

Here is something sent to me recently, a frustrating little game which I became obsessed with, and finally had to quit because no matter how hard I tried, I always had four left. Better luck to you
.
Noah's Ark

Enjoy your Sunday.

Update: I wondered why nobody commented on the Noah's Ark game. Could it be the link didn't work? DUH? I clicked on it to play and zip. It worked in the preview, honest, and I easily found my mistake. I just played and saved all the animals. There is a cool message if you get that far.

I also need to tell you that I may not be posting regularly this week due to the pup's ongoing health issue, but I hope to at least visit all your great blogs. If you are lucky, you won't have to hear me whine about it being Monday.

Hey Shirazi, thanks for the WB. I did give a brief accounting in my previous post. I need to post about my trip, and will try to do that soon.

Aww, your Dad sounds like a great man, an unsung hero. Wish my son would have had someone like him in our old neighborhood! Kids of single parents really need that type of support and guidance and it was so wonderful of him to share it. And your attitude was great too, not jealousy that your Dad was spending time and attention with other kids, but pride that he was big enough to do it!

He did a great job with the kids, and I really cannot claim to be so good about it, like I said, I felt somewhat smug, lol

You are a lucky man to have a Dad like that.

I love my Dad, but I really wish he would have been more active in my life.

dl, but I bet he did something to make you close to him, right? To have a loving dad at all is truly a blessing.

From what I know of you - your Dad did a great job! He sounds like a wonderful man. I too have a great Dad!

Thank you for your comments on my site - you're so sweet. I'm glad you liked the pics, as well as the boobs. I still have them LOL

*HUGS* and have a wonderful day!!

Karen, ok, that's great news, the boobs are still there, lol

There are some that would think that my Dad missed teaching me a few things, but he didn't, I just didn't absorb some things. I take full credit for those qualities that I have that are maybe not so endearing ;)

Yes, boobs are still in good shape LOL!

We all have those less than endearing qualities that no one is to blame for, except us. LOL!

You're a great guy though - and I mean that in the very positive way.

Actually, I am not close to my Dad at all. I love him simply becuase he is my dad.

My parents were divorced when I was quite small, and even before that he was stationed overseas, so I never really knew him.

oh shoot, dl, I really am sorry that you didn't have him when you needed him most -- when you were growing up. I hope you have a good relationship now. Sometimes those things happen later in life.

hello DB, good to hear from you. thanks for your comments on my page.
Your dad sounds absolutely brill. My hubby is also a good Dad (when he can remember what age he is ;) )

Have a good day.... we have thunderand lightening rolling around our skies at the moment...it is soooooooo humid.

Fizzy, you really don't want your hubby to grow up now, do you? Think how boring that would be. He is a great dad for just that reason, I bet. Happy Father's Day to him.

I hope you get some rain out of all that thunder and lightning, humidity is no fun. Stay dry!

oh man, dl, I just reread your comment, and realized that I had misread it the first time. I am sorry you are not close to your Dad now, and didn't have him in your life when you needed him. It says alot about you that you still feel that love for somebody who really hasn't played a big part in your life.

Db--No wonder you are such a special person with the many great qualities you have. It sounds as if you had a great teacher in your dad and he was there not just for his kids but other kids as well. That my dear was something for you to be smug about for not many men are that way...it is a very special man that has those qualities. It is great to know you had such a special dad and many things you were taught just by his example. I also had a wonderful dad and miss him so much.

I am so sorry to here about you pup and will keep him in my thoughts and prayers. Hoping for healing and most of all no pain. You have been missed more than you realize, you had so much to this blogsphere that when you are away it is as if the sun does not shine as bright.

Welcome back, now have I done a good job of kissing up?

Yes, my dear lady, you did a great job of sucking up, lol

We truly are fortunate that we had great Dads in our lives to help get us started down the road of life. I wish everyone could have had that experience.

Thanks for your well wishes for my pup, it is gonna take alot of prayers.

Walker - yep, he was a good one. I am not sure if I would have the patience he did to raise kids, but he was an excellent role model. Thanks

RA - I do love lasagna! and thanks for your good wishes for my 100 pound pup. He thinks he is a little furry critter too - a lap size one.

thequeen - well, it was a Sunday. I think motor skills and reflexes slow down on Monday, don't you? lol

Fizzy - whew, I am relieved that you enjoy the little boy in your hubby. I understand it irritates the hell outta some women, and it is reassuring to me that to some it's acceptable.

Thanks for giving away my game spot. lololol

I've been praying that things get themselves sorted out for pup too, thank you for being a sweetie.
